High-quality technical installations for sports and leisure facilities
ENGIE Fabricom has been placing its expertise in technical installations and energy efficiency at the disposal of sports and recreation centres, such as those operated by Sportoase.
The Sportoase group, established in 2005 as a joint venture between ENGIE Cofely and the Van Roey Group, specialises in building and operating multi-functional sports centres through public-private partnerships. The group now has more than 14 operational centres, and ENGIE Fabricom is always the partner it turns to for electrical work.
30% savings in energy consumption
The public-private partnership with Sportoase allows public authorities to realise significant energy savings for their sports centres. Compared to traditional swimming pools, Sportoases equipment reduces consumption by up to 30%. These local authorities are also relieved of any concerns about operation and administration, as Sportoase takes care of these aspects for 30 years following completion of the construction or renovation. Van Roey is responsible for the construction, ENGIE companies for the technical equipment.
ENGIE Fabricom’s role
Sportoase is a good example of what can be achieved by working together with ENGIE. ENGIE Cofely as contractor is responsible for managing the entire project, and for the building administration and maintenance of the sports complex for 30 years thereafter. ENGIE Axima is responsible for all the HVAC installations and sanitary equipment.
ENGIE Fabricom’s role usually involves the engineering and construction of the technical installations for most Sportoase centres:
- electrical installation
