The football club S.V. Zulte-Waregem and the local authority decided to modernise and extend the club’s Rainbow Stadium to comply with the new European football rules, and be able to organise European matches in the stadium. The new building will offer seating to more than 13,000 spectators. ENGIE Fabricom was responsible for the technical installations.

The client and architects decided to adopt the English model for the stadium, where the focus is on the football experience and comfort for the supporter: larger stands, a new VIP stand, shops, restaurants and a lobby. User experience and conviviality were important aspects when selecting and installing the technical equipment A phased approach was chosen to minimise disruption for the club and the supporters. This resulted in a rigidly-defined sub-plan, which required precise coordination of the work.
